Archy Review: Pricing, AI Features, and Whether It's Ready to Replace Your PMS (2026)

Facts & pricing verified July 14, 2026

I get asked about Archy more than almost any other newer PMS, usually by an associate who saw a slick demo and wants to know if it’s real or just Silicon Valley polish on a dental problem. Founded in 2021 by Jonathan Rat and Benjamin Kolin — both ex-Uber/Meta, not dental — Archy is built on a genuinely different premise: throw out the 5-6 disconnected tools most practices run (PMS, imaging viewer, texting app, payment processor, patient forms, claims clearinghouse) and put everything behind one login. That’s the pitch, and it’s a real one.

What Archy actually is

Archy is a cloud-native, all-in-one practice management system: scheduling, online patient intake, clinical charting, treatment planning, imaging, ledger and billing, claims and eligibility checks, payments, two-way texting, email marketing, a patient portal, internal team chat, and VoIP. It’s not a bolt-on — it is the PMS. There’s no “integrates with Dentrix” story here because there’s nothing to integrate with; if you’re switching from Dentrix or Eaglesoft, Archy migrates your data in and you’re off legacy software entirely. That’s a bigger decision than adding a texting add-on, and worth sitting with before you sign.

Where I think Archy earns real credit is the clinical AI tooling that’s actually shipping, not just promised. AI Scribe listens during the visit and drafts clinical notes. AI Voice Perio lets you call out pocket depths hands-free during a perio exam instead of having an assistant type while you probe — anyone who’s done six-point charting solo knows how much that saves. Clinical AI Imaging flags findings on radiographs, though it’s worth knowing this is powered by Pearl’s imaging AI, licensed in, not built by Archy’s own team. Archy doesn’t publish independent FDA clearance details for its implementation of that feature, so I’m not going to characterize its regulatory status beyond what’s confirmed — verify directly with Archy before treating it as a diagnostic authority rather than a second set of eyes.

Where I’d slow down: Archy’s marketing leans hard on “practice on autopilot” language — AI agents that automatically handle eligibility verification, chase down denied claims, and manage patient comms end-to-end. Per Archy’s own site, those are in development, not live. That’s a meaningful gap between the demo narrative and what you’ll actually be using on day one.

Pricing — and a discrepancy worth flagging

Archy is unusually transparent for this category: $899/month per location, published on their pricing page, covering unlimited users, providers, claim submissions, eligibility checks, and texting. Clinical, Front Office, and Marketing suites are add-ons priced by quote.

One thing I want to flag directly because it’ll confuse anyone shopping around: third-party listings show very different numbers — Capterra lists roughly $805, and dentalstack.io had $299 as recently as 2025. Those aren’t wrong so much as stale; Archy’s pricing has clearly moved up since those pages were last updated. Treat $899/month as the current, vendor-confirmed figure, and get a written quote before assuming any of the lower numbers still apply. Also worth knowing: Archy runs a dual revenue model — subscription plus payment-processing fees on top — so your effective monthly cost depends on how much you run through their payment rails.

The growth story, and what’s still thin

Archy raised a $20M Series B led by TCV in October 2025, on top of a $15M Series A from Entrée Capital in 2024 — $47M total. Company-reported figures via Crunchbase News (Oct 2025) claim 2.5 million patients served across practices in 45 states, $100M+ in annual payments processed, 35M+ X-rays processed, and roughly 300% year-over-year growth on a 57-person team. Those are Archy’s own numbers relayed through a funding announcement, not independently audited — reasonable directionally, but I’d treat the specific multiples as company-reported rather than verified.

What that growth hasn’t bought yet is depth. Reporting and analytics are still maturing compared to what you’d get from two decades of Dentrix reporting infrastructure. The integration ecosystem is thinner — fewer third-party labs, imaging sensors, and specialty tools plug in cleanly compared to Dentrix or Open Dental. And I haven’t seen a large multi-location DSO running Archy at scale with complex Medicaid billing — if that’s your practice, the incumbents still have the track record. Review volume across third-party sites is also noticeably thinner than the established players, which matters when you’re trying to sanity-check a vendor’s claims against real users rather than a funding press release.

Verdict

Archy is a legitimately different bet: a modern, cloud-native PMS with real, working AI in the exam room (Scribe, Voice Perio) rather than just AI in the marketing copy — but paired with a company still proving itself on reporting depth, integrations, and large-account track record. If you’re a single- or dual-location general practice tired of stitching together five vendors and comfortable being an early-ish adopter, it’s worth a serious demo, especially now that pricing is transparent enough to compare against Curve, Dentrix Ascend, or Intake.Dental (disclosure: that’s our own product, so weigh my read on it accordingly). If you’re a multi-location DSO with heavy Medicaid billing or you need mature, battle-tested reporting on day one, I’d wait a cycle or two and watch how Archy’s roadmap — particularly those “AI agent” features — actually ships.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Archy cost?

Archy publishes its price: $899/month per location, which includes unlimited users, providers, claim submissions, eligibility checks, and texting. Clinical, Front Office, and Marketing add-on suites are quote-only. Note that older third-party listings (Capterra ~$805, dentalstack.io ~$299 in 2025) reflect prior pricing tiers — $899 is the current vendor-published figure as of this review.

Does Archy integrate with Dentrix or Open Dental?

No — Archy is designed to be your entire PMS, not a layer on top of one. It offers one-way data migration tools to import from Dentrix and Eaglesoft when you switch, but it doesn't run alongside them.

Is Archy's AI real, or is it marketing?

Some of it ships today: AI Scribe for clinical notes, AI Voice Perio for hands-free periodontal charting, and Clinical AI Imaging (radiograph analysis licensed from Pearl, not built in-house). Broader 'AI agents' for eligibility checks, claims follow-up, and patient communication — the 'practice on autopilot' pitch — are still in development, per Archy's own materials, not shipped features.

Is Archy a good fit for a multi-location DSO or Medicaid-heavy practice?

Not yet the obvious choice. Archy is four years old with a comparatively small install base and reporting/analytics that are still maturing. If you run complex Medicaid billing across several locations, Dentrix and Open Dental have a longer track record for that specific workload.
